Separate the Mississippi check amount from cash received

Before choosing a Mississippi storefront, ask what product it is offering and which amount is being advertised. A repayment check that includes charges is not the same as the cash available for your expense.

Bottom Dollar Payday is not the lender. This page helps prepare and compare decisions; it does not submit an application or access accounts or application records.

Deferred-check borrowing

Advance, check face, fee and deposit date

The check can include the cost

Another consumer loan

Legal category, repayment schedule and charges

A check-casher example may not apply

Tax-refund-related product

Refund dependence and provider disclosures

Expected refund timing is not guaranteed cash

Selected north Mississippi contacts

Southaven and Olive Branch first-party addresses and phones. Call for hours; no individual license or live opening check is claimed.

The map is requested from Google only after you press the button. It searches the displayed place or area; it does not verify a business profile or a license.

Choose the question that matters now

A page advertises a $500 limit

Ask whether it refers to the repayment check or cash advanced. The DBCF consumer brochure illustrates a $500 check as $410 cash plus a $90 fee—not $500 cash plus a fee. [MS02]

The business also offers tax services

Identify whether the proposal depends on a tax refund, is a deferred-check transaction or uses another consumer-loan category. Compare its own timing, charges and repayment conditions.

I need a Southaven location

One selected contact is in Southaven and another in Olive Branch. Olive Branch is not a second Southaven-city store, even when both are useful for a north Mississippi search.

Match the license category to the transaction

Mississippi DBCF provides separate consumer-finance resources for check cashers, small loans, credit availability and title lending. A business name or website offering several services does not make those authorizations interchangeable. Start with the legal contract and the relevant DBCF category. [MS01]

What is proposed Detail to identify Why the distinction matters
Deferred-check borrowing Advance, check face, fee and deposit date The check can include the cost
Another consumer loan Legal category, repayment schedule and charges A check-casher example may not apply
Tax-refund-related product Refund dependence and provider disclosures Expected refund timing is not guaranteed cash
Title-backed credit Vehicle collateral and creditor A missed payment can involve a different risk

The source directory is a path to records, not proof that the selected stores currently hold a specific license. Match the legal entity, location, activity and status separately before committing.

Read the regulator’s check example with its source date in mind

DBCF’s linked consumer brochure, hosted in its 2020 document directory, describes a $500 maximum check including fees and gives a $410 advance plus $90 fee illustration. It explains fee tiers using the check amount to determine the tier. This older regulatory brochure is useful for the amount distinction; it is not presented as a complete review of all 2026 legislative changes. Confirm applicable current limits and fees with DBCF and the provider. [MS02]

Brochure illustration Amount Do not confuse it with
Cash advanced $410 A $500 cash payout
Fee in the example $90 Additional money available to spend
Check / total repayment $500 $500 principal plus another fee
Gap against a $450 bill $40 A promise that another loan fills it

The $40 gap is our arithmetic, not an offer. Do not convert the same check into a larger advance by dropping its fee, and do not label this as the price from the listed E-Z Cash stores.

Find the actual municipality before loading directions

E-Z Cash’s first-party list publishes contacts for Southaven and Olive Branch. Those are the two Mississippi contacts in this selection. The same company website includes locations in another state; a Louisiana address is not a Mississippi branch and needs Louisiana product rules. [MS03]

For Southaven, the card provides a published city address. Olive Branch remains a separately labelled nearby option. No in-city contacts have been established here for Jackson, Gulfport or Hattiesburg; use a first-party locator and DBCF record rather than assuming a northern store serves as an in-city result for them.

The source did not establish a weekly schedule for these cards. Call for hours, the relevant product and any application cutoff before travelling. Optional maps search the address, not a verified operational record.

Ask how the expense will be covered before the deadline

Tell the provider the net amount you need and the last useful date. Ask whether it needs account information, conventional payroll evidence or another accepted income document, and whether additional steps follow an online request. Generic qualification guidance does not establish a particular provider’s acceptance policy. [F04]

For a refund-related transaction, distinguish an estimated refund, an approved advance and deposited funds. For an ordinary loan, separate approval from release and account posting. A storefront’s opening schedule does not guarantee any of these events.

Keep the repayment check in the cash-flow plan

Illustrative household budget: $640 will be available after essential spending, and the repayment check is $500. That leaves $140. If another $175 essential payment arrives before your next income, the shortfall is $35. Budgeting only for the $410 received would hide part of the obligation.

Compare the same expense and dates across a loan, a creditor payment arrangement and any confirmed assistance. Do not count an expected tax refund twice—once as present cash and again as income that will cover repayment. The affordability worksheet can expose a shortage but does not decide whether the lender will approve an application. [F01] [F02]

Use a written contact trail for disputes and repayment help

Keep the agreement, receipt, creditor name and written repayment schedule. If you cannot repay, ask the creditor what options exist before the deadline; do not treat a fee-only payment as proof that principal has been reduced or an arrangement approved. The DBCF brochure warns against fee-only renewal of the deferred check it describes. [MS02] [F10]

For an authorization question, use the DBCF category corresponding to the actual product. A fee demanded upfront to guarantee a loan is a separate warning sign, regardless of a polished website or a familiar storefront name. Verify the recipient through the published source. [MS01] [F09]

Questions before continuing

Is the $500 example $500 in my hand?

No. The cited brochure’s example is $410 received plus a $90 fee, producing a $500 check. It is not a current quote from a store.

Is Olive Branch part of the Southaven-city inventory?

No. Its own municipality is retained. A nearby contact does not count as an additional in-city branch.

Does the directory confirm a tax refund or loan approval?

No. It does not access tax records, lender accounts or decisions. Ask the actual provider about the legal product, status and conditions.
