Site standards

Editorial standards and sources

Financial decisions deserve clear, checkable information. These standards explain what our pages aim to show, what a source can establish and where a reader must verify a live offer.

What we publish

Our product guides distinguish the amount requested, cash actually received, fees, payment dates and total repayment. Calculators and worksheets are illustrations based on entered assumptions; they are not quotes, underwriting decisions or promises of funding.

Location pages identify third-party businesses, not Bottom Dollar Payday offices. Contact details and hours are published records to confirm directly, not live opening or licensing certifications.

How we use sources

  1. For legal limits and consumer protections, prefer the responsible government regulator or the text of the applicable rule.
  2. For a business address, phone, schedule or service, identify the business's own listing where available and preserve a link to the cited record.
  3. Use directories and media as context, not as proof of a current license or endorsement.
  4. When sources conflict or a current status is not established, do not turn a candidate fact into a verified claim.

A citation supports the statement next to it; it does not validate every statement on the page. Rules and availability may differ by state and product.

Product and provider boundaries

A general explanation is not financial advice. A provider's actual disclosures, privacy notice and agreement control any offer. Before submitting information, identify who receives it; before accepting an offer, compare the provider, net proceeds, fees and complete repayment schedule.

See how a request may move between parties and what different on-site actions do with information.

Corrections

If a source, figure, address, translation or link is wrong, use the corrections and feedback process. The review standard is to compare the cited source with the exact page before changing a factual claim. Private account details do not belong in a public correction.
