Match the Lafayette payout to the bill you need to pay

Receiving loan proceeds and settling a bill are not the same step. Use these Lafayette contacts to confirm the amount and form of the payout, then check how the bill issuer accepts payment. Do not assume a store’s money-service menu makes every transfer immediate or free.

Bottom Dollar Payday is not the lender. This page helps prepare and compare decisions; it does not submit an application or access accounts or application records.

Johnston Street and East Willow Street

Published operator contacts for two different addresses. Weekly opening hours were not exposed in the reads; confirm the chosen branch before a trip.

The map is requested from Google only after you press the button. It searches the displayed place or area; it does not verify a business profile or a license.

Identify the missing step

I need cash to pay a bill

Ask for the net proceeds, not just an advertised loan amount. Check whether the payout arrives in a form the bill issuer can accept on time. [LA26] [LA27]

I want the store to handle the bill payment too

Ask whether that is a separate service, its price and when the bill issuer receives it. A listing of money services is not confirmation that this particular bill is supported. [LA26] [LA27]

I need more than the example would leave in hand

Use the current provider offer and Louisiana product classification, not a guessed larger check. The statutory principal ceiling is not a personal qualification result. [LA01]

Choose the exact address before asking about the service

Lafayette contact Telephone What to confirm
4702 Johnston Street, Unit A-1, LA 70503 (337) 989-2274 Hours, payout method and any separate bill-payment service [LA26]
100 E Willow St, LA 70501 (337) 269-5994 Hours, documents and the final funds-availability step [LA27]

The page lists contacts, not a live map of every lender. The directions buttons use the name and address. They do not establish a verified Google Business Profile, licensing status or the speed of a transaction.

Track money through two different transactions

A useful first question is: “How much would I receive, in what form, and what would I separately pay to deliver it to this bill?” Keep the loan and any money-service charge on different lines.

Stage Amount or evidence to record Do not substitute
Loan disbursement Net funds and availability date Headline principal
Optional payment service Separate fee and supported bill issuer General service menu
Bill received Receipt and credited amount Money leaving the store
Loan repaid Contractual total and due date Amount of the original bill

Both branch pages describe loan and money-service contact routes. That does not prove a quoted combination of services for your bill. Confirm the requested transaction directly. [LA26] [LA27]

Show why a $200 check may not settle a $200 bill

Illustration isolating the statutory percentage fee: 16.75% of a $200 check is $33.50, leaving $166.50 after that fee alone. Louisiana’s statute uses check face as the base. Other permitted charges are not modeled in this example. [LA02]

If a separate payment service were hypothetically $4, only $162.50 would remain for the bill, leaving $37.50 of a $200 bill unpaid. The $4 is invented solely for the calculation, not an ACE fee. Obtain actual service charges rather than carrying this assumption into an application.

Distinguish the September limits from store terms

OFI’s September 1, 2026–August 31, 2027 notice sets principal ceilings of $740 for deferred presentment and $370 for small loans. [LA01] It does not say that either Lafayette counter has approved a loan or that a particular bill can be financed.

Ask for the product name before using a fee formula. If the offer instead has installments or another agreement structure, compare its disclosed payment schedule and total repayment; do not force it into the single-check illustration above.

Use two dates: the bill credit and the loan maturity

Illustration: a bill must be credited Friday, while a transfer is only expected to arrive Monday. A request approved Friday still leaves the bill deadline unmet. Ask the bill issuer whether a receipt, payment arrangement or later date would change the requirement; do not assume it will.

Separately, test the loan maturity against income and essential outgoings. $950 of income minus $590 of essentials, $110 of existing payments and a $75 reserve leaves $175. A $200 repayment exceeds that amount by $25.

Keep the receipt and choose a fallback before the deadline

For an optional payment service, retain the payee, credited amount, transaction reference and stated delivery timing. For the loan, retain a different record: creditor, net funds, charges, total repayment and maturity. Mixing the two can hide the remaining obligation.

If either timing or repayment is unresolved, speak to the bill issuer about an arrangement. The CFPB includes this among possible alternatives. [HM03] Bottom Dollar’s tools can help compare the figures, but they cannot process the payment, approve the loan or confirm the issuer’s ledger.

Questions before continuing

Are a payout and a bill-payment receipt interchangeable?

No. They show different steps. Confirm what reached the bill issuer and retain the separate loan repayment obligation.

Does the hypothetical $4 fee belong to ACE?

No. It is an explicitly illustrative assumption used to demonstrate an extra deduction. Request the actual price of any service.

Why are no opening hours shown as confirmed?

The current source reads did not expose a complete weekly schedule for these addresses. A missing schedule is not a closed-store finding.
