Direct-Deposit Loans: Confirm Your Account and Net Funds

Check the destination before counting on the deposit

A direct deposit helps only when the money reaches an account you can use. Check the receiving account, deductions and transfer stage before relying on a loan deposit to pay a bill.

Bottom Dollar Payday is a product of FSST Financial Services, LLC, not a lender. An independent provider processes the application; terms and availability depend on the provider.

Where would the funds go?

Choose the account or payout route. You do not need to enter account numbers or bank credentials.

My checking or savings account

Ask whether the provider accepts your exact account type and ownership arrangement. Confirm routing details through the receiving institution. A savings account or joint account should not be assumed to follow the same policy as an individual checking account.

A debit card, prepaid account or payment app

Determine whether the transfer uses a card number or the account behind it. Confirm both that the account can receive the payment and that the lender will send it there. Payroll compatibility alone does not establish loan-payout compatibility.

I do not have a supported destination

Ask the lender about any actual alternative and its collection instructions, identity requirements and charges. Do not substitute someone else’s account or assume an online loan includes cash pickup.

Use verified provider channels to correct a mismatch. This checklist does not certify a destination, and it does not ask you to upload bank documents.

Separate payroll direct deposit from loan delivery

“Can the account receive the loan?” and “Does the lender accept my income evidence?” are different questions. A self-employed worker may receive client payments rather than payroll; a person paid by check may still have a receiving account. Neither fact establishes the actual lender’s underwriting policy.

Ask: “My income arrives by this method. Which evidence do you accept, and where can approved funds be sent?” Keep those answers separate. For wages accessed before payday, review the paycheck-advance route instead of treating an account deposit as the same product.

Check whether net proceeds cover the bill

Enter the expense, your own contribution, confirmed help and the cash the offer would actually deliver. Do not treat promised help as received money.

Your calculation inputs

Use numbers without $ signs or thousands separators; use a dot for decimals. The calculation stays in this page and does not retrieve bank or credit data.

Method, assumptions and limits

Initial gap = max(0, expense − usable cash − confirmed assistance). Remaining gap = max(0, expense − cash − assistance − net proceeds). Resources above the expense = max(0, cash + assistance + net proceeds − expense). This does not calculate loan cost or recommend taking the extra amount. Enter net proceeds after known deductions, not principal.

Input limits: money $0–$35,000 (two decimal places); principal must be positive; fee must be below principal. Monthly term: 1–600 whole months. Annual nominal rate: 0–1,000%, up to four decimals. App uses: 0–1,000 whole uses. These are calculator limits, not available loan terms.

Nacha describes ACH settlement on banking days, excluding weekends and federal holidays under the current schedule. [S05] FedNow operates continuously, but that infrastructure does not prove a lender offers it. [S06] Ask for the actual method and time zone, not a general “fast funding” label.

Check the deposit against the unpaid balance

Illustration: a $400 amount with a $20 deduction delivers $380. If the remaining bill is $390, $10 is still missing. Other transactions can also affect spendable account funds after receipt. A successful deposit and a fully covered bill are separate outcomes.

Record principal, withheld charges, separately payable costs, disclosed APR, all payment dates and the full repayment. The deposit method does not identify whether the loan is a single-payment or installment product. Payday proceeds, for example, can be delivered in several different ways. [S01]

Keep access, receipt and repayment permissions separate

A data connection lets a provider obtain information according to its terms; delivery instructions identify where funds go; a repayment authorisation permits specified collections. Do not treat one screen as a substitute for all three explanations.

For covered recurring preauthorised debits, Regulation E requires an appropriate authorisation and a copy, and restricts compulsory electronic repayment within its stated scope and exceptions. [S15] Revoking automatic-payment permission does not erase a debt or settle a dispute about it. Follow the provider and bank process and arrange repayment separately. [S14]

Resolve a missing deposit without duplicating the request

If no release is confirmed, ask the lender before asking a bank to trace an unsent payment. If release is confirmed, obtain the reference and receiving details. For a rejected or returned transfer, request an approved correction and current status before supplying replacement instructions.

Next action: record the supported destination, net amount, last completed stage and responsible support channel. When any one remains uncertain, treat delivery as unresolved. Bottom Dollar Payday cannot trace, resend or cancel a lender’s payment from this page.

Questions before your next step

Does a payroll deposit prove the lender accepts my account?

No. The receiving institution and the lender each have a role in confirming the proposed transfer.

Should I enter my debit-card number as an account number?

No. Follow the specified payment method and verified receiving instructions. Card and account identifiers are not interchangeable.

Can I change the receiving account after funds are sent?

Ask the sender for its procedure and current payment status. Do not assume that editing a profile changes a payment already released.
