Ask what the Tennessee contract is called

A Memphis or Nashville storefront may advertise several ways to borrow. Before comparing a payment or headline limit, identify the exact contract: deferred presentment, open-end flex credit, installments or a secured product.

Bottom Dollar Payday is not the lender. This page helps prepare and compare decisions; it does not submit an application or access accounts or application records.

What starts the debt?

A specific written transaction

A draw under an open-end plan

When does it finish?

Stated maturity of that transaction

Payoff depends on balance, charges and payments

What price should I collect?

Advance, fee and amount due

Interest, other charges, minimum and payoff estimate

Published addresses and telephones; call for hours. Product availability and individual licenses have not been independently verified.

The map is requested from Google only after you press the button. It searches the displayed place or area; it does not verify a business profile or a license.

Which comparison do you need?

A short-term check-based transaction

Start with the deferred-presentment licensing route. Tennessee DFI describes a written arrangement that accepts and holds a check before deposit, and requires licensing for this activity. [TN01]

A reusable line of credit

A flex plan is a different open-end product. A small minimum payment may leave a balance outstanding, so compare the payoff plan rather than treating the minimum as a fixed installment schedule. [TN05]

A storefront close to me

The selection includes Memphis contacts and one Nashville contact. It does not supply in-city listings for Knoxville or Chattanooga, and no unpublished hours are invented.

The same storefront can lead to a different repayment model

Tennessee DFI maintains separate licensing resources for deferred presentment and flexible credit. Its flex description is an open-end plan that may not have a fixed maturity; it is not simply another label for a single payday transaction. Identify the agreement before using product-specific figures. [TN01] [TN05]

Contract question Deferred-presentment discussion Flex-credit discussion
What starts the debt? A specific written transaction A draw under an open-end plan
When does it finish? Stated maturity of that transaction Payoff depends on balance, charges and payments
What price should I collect? Advance, fee and amount due Interest, other charges, minimum and payoff estimate
What could mislead me? Confusing check face with cash received Treating a minimum payment as the final cost

For a title-backed or installment proposal, request its own disclosures. Do not use either column as a substitute for the contract. Bottom Dollar does not establish which product a store will approve for you.

Keep the age of a legal source visible

TDFI’s consumer notice dated August 21, 2012 describes a deferred-presentment fee ceiling of 15% of the check face, a 31-day maximum and aggregate check-face restrictions of $500. Those figures are presented here as a dated official reference, not a newly verified 2026 consolidated-code determination. Use the current TDFI statutory route to confirm the provisions before relying on them in a transaction. [TN02]

Arithmetic under that stated fee basis: a $500 check with a $75 fee leaves $425 cash. It is not $500 cash plus another $75. The example explains the distinction; it is not an offer, a claim of present approval, or a flex-loan price. Asking for the net proceeds and total repayment avoids this ambiguity even before a legal figure is confirmed.

Selected contacts cover Memphis and Nashville—not every city

745-CASH publishes Memphis addresses and phones for Elvis Presley Boulevard and Summer Avenue. Tennessee Quick Cash publishes a Bellevue-area contact in Nashville. A TQC storefront is not automatically a payday provider for the transaction you need; ask about the current flex or other agreement. [TN03] [TN04]

Search city Contacts in this selection What still requires confirmation
Memphis Two published 745-CASH contacts Product, current hours and individual authorization
Nashville One published Tennessee Quick Cash contact Product category, hours and written price
Knoxville No in-city contact established here First-party local address and license record
Chattanooga No in-city contact established here First-party local address and license record

The company contact lists did not establish a branch-specific weekly schedule for these cards. Call before travelling. Directions use the displayed address in a map search; they do not establish live opening status or a verified Google profile.

An online start does not remove the licensing question

DFI says deferred-presentment activity conducted through the internet, telephone or other means is subject to the relevant licensing requirement, and identifies a separate-license requirement for each operating location. Its flex page likewise provides a distinct licensing route. A working web form is therefore not the evidence to use for authorization. [TN01] [TN05]

Match the legal entity, activity, address and current record. Then confirm which identity, income and banking documents the provider accepts. Do not send sensitive documents to a number copied from a conflicting third-party listing merely because it claims a quicker response.

Compare a payoff path instead of the smallest first payment

Illustrative comparison, not lender terms: one option requires $460 once; another has six scheduled payments of $90, totaling $540. The second starts with less cash due but costs $80 more in scheduled payments, assuming equal net funds and no separate charges. A flex minimum cannot be inserted as if it were one of those six fixed payments unless a real payoff schedule supports that treatment.

Use the repayment worksheet for a known amortizing schedule and obtain a provider payoff statement for an open-end balance. Budget with confirmed income and expenses. Adding another draw changes the flex balance and invalidates a prior no-new-draw payoff estimate. [F01]

Use the correct provider for problems after signing

Keep the creditor’s legal name, agreement and payment authorization. Ask the actual creditor or servicer for a written explanation of disputed charges, a balance or a hardship proposal; a second store may not hold the account. Do not replace a due date in your calendar until an arrangement is confirmed. [F10]

A demand for money upfront to guarantee a loan deserves independent verification. A directory entry, state link or recognizable storefront name does not override that warning. Use the published official contact rather than the reply details in a suspicious message. [F09]

Questions before continuing

Are all the listed stores payday-only businesses?

No. The sources include businesses advertising multiple products. The legal agreement determines which rules and repayment model apply.

Are the 2012 notice figures certified as current 2026 law here?

No. They are clearly dated source information and an arithmetic explanation. Confirm the current statute through TDFI before relying on the numeric limits.

Does making the minimum flex payment guarantee a payoff date?

Not by itself. A payoff estimate needs the balance, ongoing charges, payment pattern and assumptions about additional draws.
