South Carolina: find the right counter and repayment amount

Choose an actual street address, not a service-area page. Compare the principal, fee and full payment before arranging a visit; a neighboring title-loan counter is a different borrowing route.

Bottom Dollar Payday is not the lender. This page helps prepare and compare decisions; it does not submit an application or access accounts or application records.

The map is requested from Google only after you press the button. It searches the displayed place or area; it does not verify a business profile or a license.

Start with your location and product

You are near Fort Mill or Clover

Use the regional-operator contacts below. At Rubin Center Drive, the payday office is Suite 111. Do not use a title-loan suite or phone as though it offered the same contract.

You need Columbia, Charleston, Greenville or Spartanburg

These four cities are the planned state-directory children. The current contact selection does not establish offices in them. Search the operator’s actual locator rather than counting a city service page.

You are coming from another state

Confirm residence and transaction eligibility directly before a trip. A provider’s cross-border service-area wording is not a legal conclusion about a loan to every resident.

Read the charge as a percentage of principal

South Carolina’s deferred-presentment statute permits principal up to $550, excluding fees, a fee up to 15% of principal and a term no longer than 31 days. The fee basis is not the final check amount. The applicable limit does not establish approval or a currently available store quote. [SC01]

Disclosure item What to record Why it changes the comparison
Principal Amount advanced before the separate fee Basis of the 15% calculation
Fee Dollar charge for this agreement Not the APR by itself
Total due Principal plus disclosed charge Cash needed at repayment
Due date Exact calendar date Must fit reliable income

Compare a smaller need with the maximum framework

Assume a single fee at the statutory 15% maximum and no additional charge. These are arithmetic illustrations, not provider offers.

Cash principal Illustrative fee Total repayment Extra debt compared with $300
$300 $45 $345 $0
$550 $82.50 $632.50 $287.50

Borrowing an additional $250 increases this illustrated repayment by $287.50. Do not request the larger figure simply because it appears in an advertisement. Start with the unpaid part of the expense and compare both payments against your budget. [SC01]

Keep payday and collateral routes separate

The source lists a neighboring Fort Mill title-loan office as well as payday offices. A vehicle-backed agreement changes the risk and documentation; it is not an interchangeable way to increase a payday limit. Ask for the exact product name and creditor before sending vehicle records. The directory cards intentionally identify the payday counter only. [SC02]

Use the phone call to prevent an unnecessary trip

Ask whether the counter is taking new requests, what evidence of income and residence is accepted, and whether the quoted amount is cash received or a contract balance. Confirm Saturday hours and application cutoffs, since the published Saturday closes earlier than weekdays. Take a copy of the quote or the name of the person who explained it; neither is an approval.

A second counter does not reset the transaction rules

Tell the provider about open deferred-presentment agreements and request an explanation of any eligibility result. The statute includes transaction restrictions beyond the fee and amount figures. Do not use another storefront or an online form to evade an existing-loan restriction. A paid transaction should be reconciled with the provider’s records before a new request. [SC01]

Choose a next step that matches the problem

For a bill you cannot fully cover, first ask its issuer what partial payment or extension would achieve. For a loan payment you cannot make, use the creditor’s repayment-help process rather than another application. For disputed authority or fees, identify the legal business and consult the South Carolina regulator. Keep the contract, receipts and correspondence together.

Questions before continuing

Does this selection cover all four planned cities?

No. It contains contacts in Fort Mill and Clover, not a complete statewide inventory. The city names are navigation scope, not invented offices.

Does the Fort Mill title office count as a second payday location?

No. Suite 112 is a separately described title-loan route; the payday card is Suite 111. [SC02]

Is $82.50 always the charge for $550?

It is the 15% illustration, not a promise about an actual offer. Obtain the written charge and APR for the agreement you are considering. [SC01]
